Mandatory Neck Guards

Effective August 1, 2024, USA Hockey mandates that all players are required to wear neck guards when participating in any on ice activity. Referees will be enforcing this rule and any player not wearing a neck guard will be removed from the ice.

Teams will be given 1 initial warning, followed by a 10 minute misconduct penalty for any violations after the initial warning.
